Welcome!

Kaios International originally began in 2003 as M&N Productions for the founders, Mark McLean and Nicolle Monroe. Mark played in a small section one year with a band in which he helped to make the costumes. He felt that the Masqueraders were not being treated fairly by the band leader.

In his opinion, the people paid their money to come and enjoy themselves and should not have to wait up until Labor Day morning for costumes; many of which still had none. He was really upset for the people and invited them to play in his section the following year where the costumes would be free of charge. From that point on, family and friends came out to help and show their support.

The band started with about 15 Mas players and has since grown. The name was changed due to conflicting names with another band. Mark heard people refer to the group as chaotic and thus the name was changed to represent just that, with a twist in the spelling. Kaios International came about to spread the love and madness to all the Caribbean people. This fun, energetic, outgoing group take pleasure in being able to produce inexpensive costumes for all to enjoy; young, old, and in between. You can find them in an array of styles and colors along the route of Eastern Parkway in September during the West Indian American Day Carnival..

In 2010 Kaios International came in 3rd place in the Large Band category. Not only do they make and design costumes, but you can also find them at local clubs or hosting parties of their own. Kaios International Sounds, a subsidiary of Kaios International, is readily available to DJ at parties.

Everyone needs a little Kaios in their life…
